![]() Hogrogian was born May 7, 1932, and raised in the Bronx, New York, where she lived with her grandparents, parents, and sister in a house built by her grandfather. In an article by Ann Durell in Library Journal, Hogrogian said, "Woodblocks were one of the first mediums ever used for printing pictures, and they're still perfect to print from."
